How to improve profitability in commodity grade structural steels

Description:

In this course we provide theoretical understanding and practical guidance in how very small additions of niobium (70-150ppm) can improve underlying profitability in some commodity grade structural steels. The course covers economic and material benefits of niobium versus other ferro-alloying option routes, practical considerations and expectations when using niobium in casting and subsequent hot rolling. Focus is given towards the production of structural long products; however, core principles are also applicable towards structural flat grades too.

Attendees will receive a copy of the course presentation, a course certificate and additional reference material. Furthermore, our process metallurgical experts will be available online to provide additional support to answer any specific related questions you may have.
